Hey Reader! As the temperatures continue to drop (even here in SoCal), I thought I'd deliver to your inbox both a soup recipe and a kimchi recipe. This Gochujang and Roasted Carrot Soup will warm you right to your toes. But also? It tastes better with kimchi (I mean, doesn't everything?). Plus, now's the perfect time to make kimchi. It's a fairly labor intensive process and therefore, the cooler weather will ensure you're not pouring sweat into your pickled cabbage (I mean, unless you want it to be extra salty). My family made kimchi together last year, right in our front yard, on Christmas Day. It was pretty epic! Finally, I've included an older recipe, but a good one. I made this Berry Galette for my family one Christmas and it was soooooo good. We called it "berry pizza" because everyone ate theirs like NY-style pizza! This Week's Hero Recipe: Gochujang and Roasted Carrot Soup.

This Week's Musings. In case you missed it, I actually published a podcast episode for the first time in weeks. In it, my friend Nabiha and I discuss The Anatomy of Friendship.
And that brings this week's Recipe Roundup to a close. I hope you're off to eat some soup and make some kimchi! Wishing you all the best,
